Bye-Bye Squeeze Me!

Dear families;

Esta tarde ha tenido lugar la sexta y última sesión del primer turno de  nuestro querido Squeeze Me y una vez más lo hemos pasado bomba.

La receta a elaborar parecía muy sencilla en el video de You Tube y lo cierto es que durante el proceso nuestros pequeños grandes estupendos chefs lo han hecho fenomenal.

Primero hemos lavado las fresas, después hemos cortado con  seguridad y maestría los extremos de las mismas, seguidamete las hemos vaciado  y por último las hemos rellenado con deliciosa nata montada.

Como podéis ver en las fotos los platos se ven pero que bien bonitos, qué colorido más alegre, y qué decir tiene que el momento más esperado por TODOS y sin duda el  más disfrutado  ha sido el de abrir los botes de la nata y probarla!!! Mmmmm qué gusto!

Ahora bien, si hemos aprendido algo es que la nata es un producto muy delicado y ese aspecto tan fresco y tieso que luce en un principio dura poquito y con el calor acaba por derretirse y rebajarse .

Cierto es que eso no nos ha bajado el ánimo y por el contrario hemos improvisado platos muy divertidos adornados también con siropes varios y mensajes ocultos de feliz navidad.

Eso si, hemos tenido que cambiar  el título de la receta de Strawberry Santas a....Strawberry Deconstruction. ! Lo que nos hemos reido!

Y para concluir y darle un toque marchoso y navideño hemos cantado Hello To All The Children Of the World, una de las canciones que los alumos de 2º interpretarán en el festival de navidad de la próxima semana.

Y con esto nos despedimos así de la primera etapa de Squeeze Me no sin antes agradecer a mis 11 pequeños grandes genios  su interés y entusiasmo incondicional mostrado a lo largo de todos los talleres,chicos y chicas  ha sido todo un placer volver a vernos las caras cheeky monkeys y compartir estos ratitos tan salados y dulces con vosotros, I love you guys.

Pero Squeeze Me ha sido un proyecto en equipo y, como tal agradezco también a Eva, mi mano derecha, su valiosísima ayuda, excelentes ideas y complicidad  absoluta. Las dos hemos aprendido muchísimo con la experiencia, tanto o más que los propios niños y niñas.

Y finalmente quisiera dar un guiño final a vosotros  padres y madres  tan entregados e interesados en este  proyecto desde el principio, muchas gracias a todos y a todas por vuestro ánimo y apoyo.

See you soon in another proyect....Storytelling maybe?????

Dear Families;

Here you have the pictures of our last Squeeze Me worksop; Strawberry Santas or better say  Posh Strawberry  Decostrution.

The truth is that if we have learnt something today  is that sometimes things are not as easy as they seem and watching the making of a recipe in a video in You Tube and carry out it  yourself can be a bit of a tricky business.

Nevertheless we all have had a heck of the time washing and cutting the strawberries, and arraging them on the plates and squeezig the cream onto them. It goes without saying that the moment we have ALL enjoyed the most was precisely  the squeezing and trying out the whipped cream mmmmm so yummy!!!!

We have also noted that even though the procces of dealing with the strawberries and the whipped cream went really well, the fresh look and texture of the dish wouldnt last much  since once the cream gets warm it metls and looses its nice look. Pity.

However that has not prevent us all to have had a wonderful time together and even top it up with a nice song sung by everyone!!

Thank you all, children, Eva and parents for your enthusiasm and interest shown all along in this little new proyect and I hope to see you all very soon in another of my adventures...How about a good old-fashioned Storytelling?
