THE INCREDIBLE BOOK EATING BOY

Dear story addicts;

Magnífica la sesión de storytelling del pasado martes. No se puede pedir más.

Público entregado, motivado y dispuesto a todo, como por ejemplo a ir al desierto en busca de agua.

Esto es lo que dos valientes exploradores hicieron sin mucho éxito pero con mucho humor , ¿Os acordáis?

¿Y qué me decís de esas tres fantásticas historias que contamos?

"The Incredible Book Eating Boy", la primera, fue simplemente genial. Conocimos a un niño al que le encantaban los libros,pero no leerlos sino ¡comérselos! ¿Os imagináis? ¿ Qué pasaría si nos comiéramos los libros de la biblioteca...? !Qué divertido! aunque un poco indigesto...

Y luego presentamos a una abuela muy muy peculiar, que no hacía lo que las abuelas normales hacen pero quizás es porque era maravillosamete diferente y especial. "Hubble Bubble Granny Trouble" ladies and gentelmen!

Y por último conocimos a "Wiffy Wilson" un lobo al que no le gustaba nada la escuela hasta que un buen día la descubre de mano de su buena amiga Dotty, y !qué descubrimiento! vaya un colegio mas divertido el del cuento,! ahora mismo me apunto yo!

Y con esta sesión concluye este año nuestro Storytelling para Primaria el cual ha resultado como siempre ESTUPENDO. Hemos presentado una colección de cuentos super interesantes y entretenidos los cuales estarán listos para el préstamo en la biblioteca el curso que viene junto con sus correspondientes CDs audio. Tiempo al tiempo.

Millones de gracias queridos story addicts por vuestra participación, fidelidad  y entusiasmo con el proyecto que ya se ha consagrado como un clásico de nuestro centro.

Hi Story Addicts!

What a magnificient Session we had  last Tuesday!

The audience was simply great and eager to do anything like expore the desert in search of water. Pity they did not find it in the end but what a laugh remember!!

And what about the brad new three stories we told?

The first one showed us a boy who loved books but no like you and I love books no, this was kind of differet, see he loved to EAT them! Isn't it just great? Altough a bit rough for the stomach I must rekcon....

Then we met a very peculiar granny, definetly not a normal one but so much more fun and genuine, I'd love to have a granny like that one in Hubble Bubble Granny Trouble ladies and gentelman!

And finally we met a very stweet wolf called Wiffy Wilson who did not like school at all until he gets the chance to actually visit one along with his good friend Dotty. What a cool school indeed I want to sing up right now!

And  with this session we conclude our 4th Sorytelling Edition for Primary which has been a nice success again thanks to you people. You just never seem to get tired of this and neither do I, so long life to our classic STORYTELLING IN DUQUESA!!!!!

And remember than IN OUR SCHOOL...WE LOVE STORIES AND WE ALWAYS WILL!!!!

Welcome Spring!!!!

Dear families;

Aquí tenéis las fotos de nuestra intensa sesión de Storytelling de hoy.

Primero y para calentar motores como viene siendo costumbre, hemos representado uno de los teatros de las clases de Alice. Hoy ha tocado el sketch de "La Peluquería".

Teníamos champú, cepillo, espejo, secador y hasta peluquero angloparlante, !qué risas! La pobre Alice ha acabado con el pelo azul, mmmmm ¿Quién habra sido?

Y luego todos a la biblioteca, y esta vez,  con algo de dificultad,  hemos contados tres cuentos. Y es que la primavera la sangre altera y los había con más ganas de bailar que de escuchar ¿A que si?

De todas formas no ha faltado como siempre el buen humor y las ganas de pasarlo bien. Al público de hoy le sobraba la marcha.

Hoy hemos conocido a un cocodrilo que vivía bajo la cama de un niño, a un robot que perdía el culete en el parque y a una niña africana que le llevaba a su amiga una cesta cargada de frutas. Con ellos nos hemos reido, sorprendido y aprendido muchisimo inglés.

Gracias por venir y compartir conmgo la magia de los cuentos.

Dear families;

Here you have today's Storytelling pictures.

First of all, we warmed ourselves up by performing one of Alice's most popular class sketches: "At the hairdresser."

We had everything! Shampoo, a hairbrush, a mirror, a hairdryer and even an English speaking hairdresser, how fun!!!

Poor Alice though, she ended up with blue hair! How on Earth did that happen, I wonder???

Then it was time to go to the library. There we told three beautiful stories about hungry crocodiles, robots in search of their bottoms and African girls carrying tasty fruit baskets.

With them we had lots of laughs, learned lots of English and had a wonderful time. So wonderful that some of our crowd got a little too excited and just could not stop wriggling. Spring is definitely here!!!

My Teacher is a Monster!!!

Dear story addicts!!

Aqui os presento las fotos tan divertidas de la terdera sesión de Storytelling  para primaria.
Nuevamente lo pasamos bomba. Lo primero calentamos motores en el aula de Alice representando para los papis nuestro nuevo sketch Let's go to the Moon!
Y para ir a la luna, necesitamos un par de hermanos traviesos, un vigilante de seguridad un poco mandón y una inteligente ingeniera espacial a cargo de la misión. Huy y un cohete por supuesto  por poco se me olvida!
Lo mejor de todo es que lo preparamos todo en 10 minutos ya veís un viaje de ida y vuelta muy rápido y sobre todo muy divertido.

Tras nuestro viaje comenzamos otro igual de divertido pero un poco más largo en la bilioteca.
El primer cuento My Teacher is a Monster causó furor. Y es que conocer a Bobby, un alumno con el pelo pincho  enamorado de los aviones de papel y a su maestra Mss Kirby, de color verde y con colmillos y verrugas  fue toda una aventura. Qué historia más chula y entretenidala la verdad es que gustó a todos.
Después conocimos a Jacob y a su perro Max. Esta pareja está cansada de ser niño y perro y una noche deciden cambiar los roles, el niño se despierta siendo Max y Max siendo Jacob. ¿Qué os parece la idea? ¿Os gustaría levantaros una maana y descubrir que sois vuestro perro?¿ Qué haríais?
 Y finalmente presentamos de nuevo la historia de Shifty Mcgifty y Sleepery Sam estos dos perros ladrones que no tienen exito en el mundo del crimen y acaban descubriendo su verdadera pasión...no os lo cuento aquí para reservar la sorpresa pero el final es genial!!!

Gracias a todos como siempre por acudir una sesión más llenos de esa alegría contagiosa que tanto me motiva a seguir contando cuentos y disfrutar con ellos.

Dear Story Addicts;
Here are the pictures of our last Storytelling. This time it was Primary turn again.
First to warm up a little we performed for our parennts our brand new sketch Let's go to the Moon!
We had everthing! Two naughty brothers, a bossy security guard and a very clever mission control lady ready to help the astronauts land safely back to Eath. What an adventure!
And then it was time to go on another trip to the library.
Our first story Me Teacher is a Monster was just a total and absolute  hit!
 Bobby is a very naughty boy with spiky hair who loves fliying  paper airplanes in class to His Teacher despair, Ms Kirby, a very funny-monster lookink lady who roars at him constantly.
What a fun story!
Then we met Jacob and Max, his dog. One day they decide to switch  roles and see what happens...Would you like to wake up one day and find out you are your dog? What would you do I wonder...
And finally we told  the very succesfull story called shifty Mcgifty and Sleepery Sam about two lousy robber dogs who are just useless in the world of crime but end up finding out their truly passion, a very different one indeed!!!

Winnie the Witch

Storytelling for the cheeky monkeys

Dear story addicts;

Aquí tenéis la fotos de la última sesión de nuestro Storytelling que tuvo lugar el pasado martes 3 de mayo.
Esta vez toco de nuevo el turno a mis cheeky monkeys de infantil, los más pequeños y marchosos del cole. Y también a sus papás, !menuda pandilla más alegre, así da gusto!
Esta vez improvisamos un pequeño sketch de una visita al médico donde no faltaron voluntarios para jugar. Y la verdad es que lo hicieron fenomenal, aunque aún me falta por averiguar quién me dió con el martillo al final!! ¿Quién sería? mmmm

Posteriormente pasamos a la biblioteca y contamos tres cuentos: Go Away Big Green Monster, donde fuimos descubriendo poco a poco a un monstruo nada guapo al que al final conseguimos hacer desaparecer.
En el segundo, Winnie the Witch conocimos  una bruja muy piruja y algo granuja y a su gato negro negrísimo  que viven en una casa ¿adivinad de qué color?  pues claro negra también... lo cual es todo un problema, ¿a que si?...y,   finalmente en The Crocodile Who didn't like water nos encontramos con un bebé cocodrilo al que no le gusta nada pero que nada el agua, !pobrecito! Y vaya final más sorprendente ¿os acordáis ?

Nuevamente pasamos un rato estupendo y es que los peques se portaron de maravilla y participaron con mucho entusiasmo junto con los papis durante toda la actividad.

Dear story addicts
Here you have our latest pictures of the last storytelling session.
This time it was the turn of our great cheeky monkeys, the most energertic and lively students of all and also their parents. What a great gang!

First we improvised a fun sketch about a visit to de doctor, everybody volunteered!!!
The true is that the kids performed beautifully and we all had lots of fun although I still don't know who hit me with the hammer right at the end....a bit of a mistery...

Later on we went to the library and told our threee stories: Go away Big Green Monster in which a very ugly moster is being showned  as we turn the pages one by one until we make him disappear completely. So original! Everyone loved it!

Then in Winnie the Witch we came across with this lovely but a bit bizarre witch who lives in a very back house with her very black cat, Wilbur.
And finally we met a baby crocodile who is extremely afraid of water in The Crocodile Who didn't like Water, we loved the end, so surprising!!
Thank you kids and parents  for showing up one more time and share the magic of stories in English with me.
